Privacy Policy
flowfin is built to be private by design. It runs entirely on your device, and it does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal or financial information.
Who we are
flowfin (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a personal-finance app published by Milk Interactive AG, Brauerstrasse 126, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. If you have questions, contact us at hello@flowfin.ch.
Information we do not collect
We designed flowfin so there is nothing to collect. Specifically, we do not gather:
- Your name, email address, or phone number — there is no sign-up.
- Your account balances, transactions, goals, or any financial data.
- Advertising identifiers, location, or contacts.
- Behavioural analytics or usage profiles.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter — accounts, balances, transactions and saving goals — is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. It is under your control. You can edit or delete it at any time, and it is removed permanently when you delete the app. We never receive a copy.
No account, no cloud
flowfin works fully offline and does not require an account. Because there is no cloud sync, your information is not stored on our servers or with any third-party host.
Diagnostics and crash reports
To keep the app stable, flowfin may use privacy-respecting crash reporting. If enabled, a crash report contains only technical information about the error (such as the device model and the point in the code where it failed). It never includes your financial data, and it is not used for advertising or profiling. Where required, this can be disabled in your device settings.
Third-party services
flowfin does not embed advertising SDKs, social-media trackers, or data brokers. The optional crash-reporting service above is the only third party that may process limited technical data on our behalf, under a data-processing agreement.
Cookies and tracking
The app uses no cookies and no cross-app or cross-site tracking technologies.
Children’s privacy
flowfin is not directed at children under 16. Since we collect no personal data, we do not knowingly process any information from children.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about you. Because your data lives only on your device, you already exercise these rights directly in the app — no request to us is needed. You may still contact us with any concern.
Data security
Your on-device database is encrypted. As with any device, keeping your phone’s operating system up to date and protected with a passcode or biometric lock is the best way to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
